As the parent of a younger child who will one day soon begin attending LCHS, I would love to see the establishment of an ACTIVE Parent-Teacher Association. Attempts in the past to establish a successful PTA have failed due to very low parent attendance. As parents, do we really have the right to demand excellence from our schools if we fail to take active roles in the educations of our children? I am interested to see if others of you will post interest in this topic. If so, perhaps we can ask the school to try again to establish a PTA...and this time we can make it work!
