Education for the Majority of Students
Roger Terry, Career Technical Director
The aim and purpose of the Career Technical Education Program in Lawrence County is to help students not only prepare for gainful employment in occupations involving knowledge and skills in vocational careers; but also to help each one develop a sense of values in individual, family, and community living and in employment situations. In order to accomplish this, the career/technical program is viewed as an integral part of the total educational curriculum and thus all instructional programs should relate to and supplement each other.
It is our purpose that all students should have adequate assistance and counseling so that they may choose a course of study that will allow them to pursue the path that is consistent with their interests, desires, and abilities. Then we feel the students will be better able to develop to the fullest, their potential abilities.
