East Lawrence High School is a 4A high school located in the eastern part of Lawrence County. It is located approximately 6 miles north of Alabama 24.  The school was built in 1979 as a result of consolidation.

The 30 staff members serve 500 students in grades 9 through 12.  There are 26 teachers and 4 support workers. 

The brick building consists of 21 classrooms, a business department, a long distance learning lab, a biology lab, a chemistry lab, a computer lab, a library, and an audio visual room.  There are conference rooms and offices in the building.  Other exterior buildings include the agribusiness and family and consumer science departments and a band room.  The full service kitchen and cafeteria feed the high school and middle school students.  The gymnasium has basement dressing rooms.  The campus also has an athletic field and facilities.

MISSION STATEMENT:  It is the mission of East Lawrence High School to provide the climate, resources, and leadership needed to prepare productive citizens.
