Agriscience Education


Agriscience Education places a new emphasis on the integration of academics into existing agriculture/agriscience curricula, especially in the areas of science and mathematics.  As a result of this emphasis, new programs are included in the Agriscience Education curriculum.  The Agriscience Education program is a comprehensive program providing students appropriate classroom and laboratory instruction, supervised agricultural experiences, and personal development experiences through both classroom instruction and related organizational FFA activities. 

 

Courses included in Agriscience Education:   Pre-Agriscience, Agriscience Exploration, Agriscience, Agribusiness Management and Development, Agricomputer Systems, Agriconstruction, Agriconstruction Finishing, Agrimarketing, AgriMetal Fabrication, Agripower Mechanics, Animal Biotechnology, Animal Science, Aquaculture Science, Environmental Science and Management, Equine Science, Fish and Wildlife Management, Floral Design and Interiorscaping, Forestry, Horticulture, Landscape Design and Management, Plant Biotechnology, Poultry Science, Sports and Recreation Turf, and Veterinary Science

Locations:   East Lawrence High, R.A. Hubbard, Hatton, High Hazlewood High, Lawrence County High, Mt. Hope, and Speake.

Fee:  The fee for taking Agriscience Education is from $25.00 to $30.00 depending on the number of classes offered at each high school.
