Mt. Hope School is a 1A school located approximately 2 miles south of Co Rd 460 on Co Rd 23. 

With a total enrollment of 300 students in kindergarten through 12th grade, Mt. Hope School has 22 teachers and 18 support staff.

The original school was built in 1936.  A large portion was destroyed by fire in 1985.  The new high school portion was rebuilt in 1988.  The elementary building was built in 1966 and a separate Career/Technical building was constructed in 1970.  Extensive renovations were done in 2003. Separate buildings house the gymnasium and lunchroom.  The campus also includes a football field and softball field.
