| Speake School is a
1A school located 8 miles south of Moulton at the intersection
of Hwy 157 & Hwy 36. The student population is almost 500
ranging from kindergarten through 12th grade. There are 36
teachers and 22 support staff.
The original building was built in 1936. In 1962 a
gymnasium was added. In 1966 the high school wing was built.
An elementary building was added to the campus in 1975 and a
kindergarten wing was added in 2000. In 2003 the main
building was renovated and the lunchroom was renovated and
enlarged. At the present time, the school has 29 regular
classrooms plus a library, chemistry lab and a computer lab.
The nationally recognized FFA program is located in a separate
building. The campus also has a football field as well as
baseball and softball fields.
