English Language Arts Teacher

Brittany Rogers- English Language Arts
  • I have been an English Language Arts Teacher at East Lawrence High School for two years. I teach English High Dosage, which is an English Foundations class dedicated to helping students with ACT test prep. I also teach Cinema and Film and Teen Fiction. Before joining ELHS, I taught at Central High School in Lauderdale County, AL. I began my education career in Early Childhood Education, and spent 10 years teaching preschool-aged children before transitioning into high school. I enjoy reading and teaching modern Young Adult fiction, as well as theatre/drama and the Arts. My other ELHS responsibilities include Prom, Class Sponsor duties, and Homecoming festivities. 

    In my personal life, I have been married to my husband for 17 years. We have 3 wonderful children, ages 15, 13, and 7. I also have a full-blooded German Shepherd named Max, and three lazy cats, Trooper, Kylo, and Loki. My hobbies include singing, reading, traveling, and spending time with my family.

    Associates Degree from Northwest Shoals Community College

    B.S.Ed. in English Language Arts, from the University of North Alabama
