Mrs. Laura Jones
Hey everyone! My name is Laura Jones. I am from Lawrence County, and I live in Landersville. I am a proud 2007 graduate of Mount Hope High School (Go Yellow Jackets!). After graduating, I went to school at Northwest Shoals Community College and Freed-Hardeman University in Tennessee. I finished my basics at Northwest Shoals Community College and went on to Athens State University. I graduated from Athens State University in 2015 with a Bachelor's Degree in K-6 Collaborative Education. I am currently pursuing my Master's in K-6 Special Education at the University of North Alabama. I started my teaching career in special education at East Lawrence Middle School in 2014. After a year of working at East Lawrence Middle, I transferred to Hatton Elementary School. I have been here since that time.
I have been married since July of 2011. I have one daughter, Adley, and a son, Charles Axton. They keep me busy and on my toes! We have one dog, Jack, and two rabbits, Hershey and Sparkles. We enjoy going to the movies, playing outside, taking small trips, going to the beach, eating out, and spending time with our families.
It is my goal to always show those around me love, compassion, and empathy.
"We can't heal the world today, but we can begin with a voice of compassion, a heart of love, and an act of kindness." - Mary Davis
