Mrs. Tatia Young
Tatia Langham Young has been teaching for 18 years. A graduate of Courland High School, here in Lawrence County, Alabama, Mrs. Young earned her B.S. degree in chemical engineering from Auburn University. She earned a M.Ed. degree in secondary education from Alabama A&M University. While attending Alabama A&M University, Mrs. Young worked as a graduate teaching assistant, teaching statistical programming. After graduating from Alabama A&M University, she was hired as a mathematics instructor at the college. She worked in the manufacturing industry for over 7 years before becoming an educator.
She and her husband, Fred, have 4 children. Her husband is a graduate of Jacsksonville State University. Her oldest daughter recently graduated from the University of Alabama. The second oldest daughter attends Auburn University. Her younger children attend the Decatur City School System.
