Mr. Andy R. Bradford
Mr. Bradford graduated from Hatton High School in 1980. He attended college at the University of Alabama where he obtained a Bachelor of Science in Commerce and Business Administration, majoring in Corporate Finance and Investment Management and minoring in Political Science. Mr. Bradford worked for Liberty Mutual Insurance Company as a claims adjuster, where he investigated, valued, and negotiated claim settlements. Mr. Bradford later accepted a position with the Federal Home Loan Bank of Atlanta, serving as a Savings and Loan Examiner. After his father was diagnosed with cancer, Mr. Bradford left the FHLB to return to north Alabama, where he enrolled at the University of North Alabama. He was a member of many education, social science, and leadership honor societies, and was a contributing writer to the school yearbook.
Mr. Bradford has a total of 26 years in education (as of the 2019-20 school year). He has taught at Northwest-Shoals Community college, Mt. Hope School, Tennessee Valley Christian School, Tennessee Valley Learning Center, Courtland High School, R. A. Hubbard High School, and Lawrence County High School. Mr. Bradford as coached football, basketball, softball, baseball, golf, and soccer at various schools. He has been a basketball game announcer at NW-SCC, at LCHS, at numerous county basketball tournaments, and has announced the Lawrence County Special Olympics for the past several years.
Currently, Mr. Bradford is assigned teaching responsibilities in American Government 12 at LCHS and serves as one of the school's attendance officers. He also serves as faculty advisor for the LCHS Student Government Association.
