I am graduate from Cramerton High School, Cramerton, North Carolina in 1967 and then received two Bachelor's degrees from Gardner Webb University, Boiling Springs, North Carolina in 1971.  My first degree is in Business Management and my second degree is in Computer Science.  I am married to Anna Baker, a business teacher at Decatur High School.  I have four children and four grandchilder.

I am a retired Army Warrent Officer with 26 years on active duty.  I was a Military Intelligence Officer and served all over the world.  I had overseas assignment in both Germany and Japan.  During my career I had assignment at Fort Bragg, North Carolina, Fort Meade, Maryland, Field Station Hawaii and several locations overseas.

I am currently in my fifteenth year of teaching at Lawrence County High School.  I am the Senior Army Instructor for the Lawrence County High School Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (JROTC).  I love developing the young minds of JROTC to be "Better Citizens of the Future".
