Lawrence County Schools COVID-19 Information

Lawrence County Schools Coronavirus (COVID-19) Information:

To protect our students, parents and staff from possible exposure to the virus, all Lawrence County Schools will be closed from Tuesday, March 17 through April 3.

The current plan is for students to return to school on April 6th. During the last week of this closure, several government entities will make a decision if students should return to school on April 6th.

This school closure includes all school-sponsored events, including all field trips, until April 30.

We are following the guidance of the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the Alabama Department of Public Health (ADPH) and the Alabama State Department of Education (ALSDE). We will continue to make every effort possible to reduce the spread of any and all viruses in the school facility.

If your family is in need of food assistance, a free breakfast and lunch, that can be picked up at designated locations, will be provided until March 27 for anyone in your household 0-18 years old. Download a meal districution list here: Meal Distribution Information
